The Gleason Public Library offers public access to the following technology equipment and software to meet the recreational, informational, educational and cultural needs of Carlisle’s citizens:
iMac with Adobe Creative Suite
Want to touch up your photos, lay out a brochure, or create graphics with professional software? The Gleason now has an iMac loaded with Adobe Creative Suite 6, including Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator, plus web design tools like Dreamweaver and Flash Pro. Ask at the Reference Desk to use these tools on the Library’s new iMac computer, or call 978-369-4898 for more information or to reserve a time slot.
Preserve Family Memories with our VHS converter
The Gleason Public Library now offers a VHS conversion machine to save your memories to DVD. Copy entire tapes or edit your selections. This equipment is self-service; users should bring their own blank DVDs or USB drive to save files.The machine copies in real time plus additional time for digitizing or burning to DVD; allow at least a couple of hours to convert one tape. This equipment is offered thanks to a donation from the Friends of the Gleason Public Library.

Do you have questions about downloading ebooks or magazines through the library? Looking for help navigating a new phone or laptop? Book-a-Librarian sessions at the Gleason are tailored to meet the specific needs of the individual. A library staff member will give undivided attention to customers who want in-depth technical assistance on these and other topics such as starting an email account, joining Facebook, becoming a power user of the library’s catalog, or beginning a research project.
