Summer Reading Program 2026
at the Gleason Public Library

We are eager to introduce the 2026 Summer Reading Program to you!
Our theme this year is…Drumroll please…
“Plant a Seed, Read”!
Registration for the Summer Reading Program will open on Monday, June 1st at 10 am. Registration will be through a Google Form, as will the weekly raffle entries, which will begin on Monday, June 29th. You can fill these Google Forms out at home through this page, or at the library.
We hope you will join us for our Kickoff Party on Friday, June 26th on the front lawn of the library!
The Details:
The Summer Reading Program will run for 8 weeks, starting Monday June 29th and ending Saturday August 23rd. Patrons will be asked to register for the Summer Reading Program, and fill out their weekly logs, using Google Forms that can be accessed either in the library or through our website at home. Each week patrons will fill out their log and select which weekly raffle prize they would like to enter for, as well as which grand prize they would like to enter for.
There will be 8 logs to fill out in total. The logs will be available to fill out from Monday-Sunday (ex: the first log will open on Monday, June 29th at 10 am and will close Sunday, July 5th at 10 pm).
At the beginning of each week, two winners will be randomly selected for the weekly raffle prizes. You can only win the weekly raffle prizes once. There will be 7 weekly raffle prizes, and the last log will be a bonus entry for the grand prize. The grand prize winners will be announced on Monday, August 24th.
All of our summer reading programs and performances are now publicly accessible on our events calendar. All of our programs will be OFF SITE. Please keep an eye on the calendar and our social media profiles to see where they will be held.
Happy Reading, and see you soon!

Many thanks to our wonderful Friends of the Gleason Public Library who support the programs, crafts and prizes for our annual Summer Reading Program! The Friends is a 501(c)(3) charitable corporation made up of volunteers interested in supporting and enhancing the programs, services, and materials available to our community through the Gleason Public Library. Because of your generous donations, this past year we were able to sponsor over 120 programs at the Gleason Public Library which reached over 2,500 people in town, in addition to museum passes used by over 800 patrons.
