Find out more about:

The Gleason Public Library holds over 50,000 items in its historic building (renovated and expanded in 2000). The library is visited often and serves as a charming and friendly community center for Carlisle residents, friends, and neighbors. Thousands of items are checked out monthly at the Gleason Public Library.

The library collection includes books for adults, children, and teens about favorite subjects, audio books, classical and popular music, language and travel materials, magazines and newspapers, DVDs and videos, ebooks and downloadable audio, large-print books, reference books, and databases. Six computers provide access to the internet, and two additional computers, plus two iPads, provide games for children.

If you can’t come in to browse our collections, you can learn more about what the library has via the internet. The Gleason Public Library belongs to the Merrimack Valley Library Consortium, which allows our patrons to easily access materials from 36 area libraries. Items can be requested, as well as renewed, by logging into the MVLC catalog. You will be asked to provide your borrower ID number (library card number) and your PIN (last four digits of your phone number).
