The Gleason’s EQ1 educational seismograph was installed in 2012 with the support of the Susan Zielinski Natural Science Fund, the Friends of the Gleason Public Library, the Gleason Public Library Endowment, and a Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) grant administered by the Mass. Board of Library Commissioners, as part of Boston College’s educational seismograph program. It tracks earthquake activity from around the globe in real time.
