The saber's blade is made of steel, and its guard is either made of iron or brass. The brass clamp secures the grip into the saber and guard. The grip is wood wrapped in leather "thread".

The scabbard is tarnished brass, and written on it in white paint is "Artillery 48". There are two clamps with rings are attached.
