Our wonderful Friends of the Gleason Public Library have started their annual fall fundraising drive. The Friends support the Gleason’s programming for all ages, museum passes, and other special materials.

Have you used a Museum Pass lately? Or enjoyed lectures on US History, Art, Poetry, Genealogy, or Climate Change sponsored by the Gleason Library? Have you been a part of a Community Book Read or the Mystery Book Club? Has your family participated in the Great Pumpkin Spectacle or the Gingerbread House workshop? Did they catch Pets or Moana on the big screen in front of the library? The Friends accept credit card donations online at the link below, or checks may be mailed to or dropped off at the Library.

Tuesday, November 9 Friends of the Gleason Public Library Annual Meeting: Louisa May Alcott – The Chaste and the Lurid – 7:00-8:00pm via Zoom – Join the Friends and Anke Voss, curator of Special Collections at the Concord Free Public Library, for a very special evening devoted to Louisa May Alcott and her alter-ego A. Friends of the Gleason Library Pop-Up Book Swap – Saturday, November 13 10 a.m.-1 p.m. drop off; 1 – 4 p.m. shop for books at the Library – The genre for the swap will be suspense, mystery, and thrillers for adults and children, as well as any books related to Native American Heritage Month. No textbooks, no other genres accepted.

The Friends is a 501©(3) charitable organization made up of volunteers interested in supporting and enhancing the programs, services, and materials available through the Gleason Public Library.
