Wednesday, October 27th for K- 4th Graders at the Gleason Public Library

The 38th Annual Great Pumpkin Spectacle will now be a hybrid in-person and virtual event due to the rain forecasted.
There will be no event held in the school parking lot, but we will hold the storytelling program on Zoom, and the award ceremony will be posted on the Library’s Facebook Page

4:30 – 6:00 p.m. Pumpkin Registration To register, bring your pumpkin into the Children’s Room between 4:30 and 6 p.m. on Wednesday, October 27. Pumpkins will be judged separately by grade, with three winners in each grade level, K-4. Masks for everyone ages 2 and up are required, and please maintain a social distance of 6 feet between parties.

This year, we will not have separate categories for pumpkins. There will still be three winners per grade, but instead of having separate categories, all pumpkins in each grade will be judged together. There will also be two “lucky” winners, one drawn from lower elementary and one drawn from upper elementary. Those who do not wish their pumpkins to be judged may bring them to a special “display only” table. There will be seventeen (17) winners total.

6:30 p.m. Spooky Stories with Tony Toledo on Zoom

Join us on Zoom for spooky stories told by storyteller Tony Toledo! We recommend the storytelling event for ages 5 and up due to some scary themes.
